I have to admit that I am extremely thrilled with the turnout and sales for the meet and greet reception at The Gryphon Cafe on Friday night. I know that close to 20 paintings were sold! I am so grateful to everyone who came out and to those who bought a painting/paintings, but grateful scarcely describes the overwhelming feelings in my heart for the support that was shown by friends and family. Thank you, seriously.
It means everything. OK, enough, sorry.
There were several people that bought three, four and more paintings--like seven! It's scary putting yourself out there like that, because what I do comes from inside and feels very vulnerable. The affirmation from even one person showing up never ceases to amaze me.
Jay Sr., my granddaughter Isabella, Eric Margolis and Mason Sellig took care of the live music. You have my gratitude.
Isabella wrote the lyrics and sang her song for us, while Jay played keyboards. For her first vocal solo performance ever, she didn't sweat it even a little. When I find the paper with the lyrics on it I'll post it here.
The exhibit is still up and will be there until the first Sunday in January. There are a few paintings that were never posted on here, so go check it out and let me know what you think.
To check and see what was sold see the few previous posts with the paintings listed.
By the way, Pinterest has prices on my work now, so I need to go there and update the sold pieces.
